Itinerary in Detail
|
Most easily accessible and popular trekking route in the Ladakh area. Green high altitude pasture land of Nimaling and three high passes between 4700 - 5100 mt are the highlight of this trek. This route also offers easy climbing possibilities like Kang Yatse (6400 mt) and Stok Kangri (6120 mt.).
 Grade:  "Modrate"
Main Attraction:Lovely green valley in the middle of desert like oiasis, Monastries including Hemis Monastery (Drukpa sect) and magnificent view of Khang Yatse (6400m.)
Maximum Altitude:5100 m.
Average walking per day:About 6-7 hours.
Best Season:June, July, & August

Suggested Itinerary
|
Days 01 :Arrive - Delhi
Upon arrival, receive and transfer to hotel.
Overnight: Hotel on bed and breakfast basis.
Days 02 :Delhi - Leh
Morning, transfer to Delhi airport for flight to Leh. Arrive and transfer to hotel.
Day for acclimatization.
Overnight: Hotel on bed and breakfast basis.
Days 03 :Leh - Martselang - Chogdo
Drive to the road head Martselang. Start trek to Chogdo (3956 m).
Overnight: Camp on full board basis.
Days 04 :Chogdo - Kangmarula Base
Trek to base of Kangmaru-La (5100 Mt) by covering approx. 14 km.
Overnight: Camp on full board basis.
Days 05 :Kangmaru-la Base - Kangmarula - Nimaling
Start up-trek to Kangmaru-la (5100 m). Descend on the other side to Nimaling (4268 m).
Nimaling is the most beautiful high altitude pasture land of this valley.
Overnight: Camp on full board basis.
Days 06 :Nimaling - Hankar - Markha
Trek to Markha (3650 m) via Hankar (3985 m).
Overnight: Camp on full board basis.
Days 07 :Markha - Chalok - Skiu
Trek to Skiu via Chalok (3567 m) by covering approx. 20 km.
Overnight: Camp on full board basis.
Days 08 :Chalok - Shingo
Trek to Shingo (3450 m). It is an ascent up to Shingo by following a stream coming from Ganda-la.
Overnight: Camp on full board basis.
Days 09 :Shingo - Ganda La - Rumbak
Start up-trek to Ganda-la (4900 Mt). Descend on the other side and trek to Rumbak village.
Overnight: Camp on full board basis.
Days 10 :Rumbak - Stok La - Mankarmo
Trek to Stok-la (4700 m). Descend on the other side and trek to Mankarmo.
Overnight: Camp on full board basis
Days 11 :Mankarmo - Stok - Leh
Trek to Stok, Visit Stok Palace and museum and drive to Leh.
Overnight: Hotel on bed & breakfast basis.
Days 12 :Leh
Day at leisure for independent activities.
Overnight: Hotel on bed & breakfast basis.
Days 13 :Leh – Delhi
Morning flight for Delhi. Arrival and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight:
Hotel on bed and breakfast basis.
Days 14 :Depart Delhi
Departure transfer to international airport to board the flight to onward destination.
